Sustainability is one of the most important challenges of our time. How can we develop prosperity, without compromising the life of future generations? We are looking for a balance among economical, environmental, and social and human issues – a long term balance. The integration of sustainability in project management is very important because projects initiate changes – and changes must be shaped by sustainability criteria.

Project management standards like PMBOK® or ICB are extremely poor regarding sustainability issues. These standards are more than 10 years behind modern management approaches.

Site visits are planned (Wilo on the afternoon of the 1st of July - http://www.wilo.com -

- probably Phoenix See - an option for Thursday afternoon? - http://www.dortmund.de/en/leisure_and_culture/phoenix_see_1/index.html - ... )
